Eco-friendly degradable plastic bags are a new type of plastic product with natural degradation properties, which can reduce negative impacts on the environment. European Union: The EU passed a regulation in 2019 deciding to ban single-use plastic products starting in 2021, including plastic cotton swabs, straws, cutlery, stirrers, and more. This move aims to reduce marine litter and protect marine ecosystems.

India: India implemented a nationwide plastic ban in 2022. The ban covers single-use plastic products, plastic packaging materials, and plastic garbage bags. The goal is to reduce plastic pollution and promote sustainable development.

Kenya: Kenya implemented a comprehensive plastic bag ban in 2017, prohibiting the production, sale, and use of plastic bags less than 30 microns thick. Violators may face fines of up to $40,000 or up to four years in prison.

Colombia: Colombia began enforcing a plastic bag ban in 2020, limiting businesses from providing plastic bags and encouraging the use of renewable and biodegradable materials. This policy aims to reduce plastic pollution and promote sustainable development.

These are just examples of policies taken by some countries. Many other countries around the world are also actively promoting measures to ban plastics in order to reduce plastic pollution and protect the environment.
